Today, I imagine that the KKK would be allowed to wear their hoods at racist demonstrations. Analogously in Canada, no law could constitutionally be passed to bar burqas in public. But laws and rules should be passed banning workers (teachers, doctors, other officials) in public institutions from wearing burqas. I agree with the Quebec law, that in the public sphere, facial coverings should go.
