  • The leader of the Christian Church in Samoa has called for the country to bring in a blanket ban on Islam.

    Reverend Ma'auga Motu, secretary general of the Samoa Council of Churches, said the council was pressing the government to prohibit the religion on the Pacific island.

    Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi last week called for a review of religious freedom provisions in the Samoan Constitution.

  • Don’t become a midwife if you just want to save and help unborn lives, and bring new life into the world.

    According to the Royal College of Midwives (RCM), which is meant to represent all midwives, the role and duty of midwives must now also include assisting in ending the lives of unborn babies. And, it makes clear, if you refuse you have little right of appeal.

  • It is time to decommission the BBC and in particular its main weapon of mass destruction the Today programme. Every morning taxpayer’s money is used to promote an ultra leftist agenda, from Europe and immigration to the latest fad ‘transgenderism’.

    On Friday, on the prime 8.10 am slot transgenderism was given pride of place and at least 15 minutes of air time. With gay marriage in the bag, abolishing gender is now front and centre of the Left's assault on reality and objective truth.

  • A Dutch woman with a phobia of germs is among scores of people who have been offered euthanasia for mental health problems in the Netherlands.

    Last year, 56 people classed as being mentally ill opted to terminate their lives, while the End of Life Clinic in Amsterdam currently has more than 1,234 applications for euthanasia by patients suffering from mental health conditions including psychological trauma and dementia.

  • People who want to change gender in Norway may no longer be required to undergo any surgery or physical transformation if a ground-breaking healthcare bill gets the go-ahead.

    Since the 1970s, gaining official gender reassignment in Norway has involved psychiatric exams, hormone treatment and surgery resulting in irreversible sterilisations.

  • Sometimes you can see a whole society's self-delusion in under a minute. Consider a single minute that occurred in Britain this week.

    On Monday night, Greater Manchester Police staged a pre-prepared mock terrorist attack in a Manchester shopping centre in order to test emergency responses capabilities, readiness and response times. At one stage, an actor playing a suicide bomber burst through a doorway in a crowded part of the shopping centre and detonated a fake device.

  • Scientists are now contemplating the fabrication of a human genome, meaning they would use chemicals to manufacture all the DNA contained in human chromosomes.

    The prospect is spurring both intrigue and concern in the life sciences community because it might be possible, such as through cloning, to use a synthetic genome to create human beings without biological parents.

  • The pharmaceutical giant Pfizer announced on Friday that it had imposed sweeping controls on the distribution of its products to ensure that none are used in lethal injections, a step that closes off the last remaining open-market source of drugs used in executions.

    More than 20 American and European drug companies have already adopted such restrictions, citing either moral or business reasons. Nonetheless, the decision from one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical manufacturers is seen as a milestone.

  • Copenhagen bar owners are begging for government protection against Muslim activists trying to impose a strict “Sharia zone.”

    The businesses claim they’ve been harassed and their shops vandalized by organized groups of teens and young men who are opposed to booze, gambling and other acts that are considered offensive to Sharia, or Islamic law.
