Wilberforce Director Dr Joe Boot continues his discussion of Brexit, this time focusing on the question of nationalism and whether this is biblical.
Joe says Scripture shows how God designs the nation state to limit power, but nationalism, as evidenced by Nazi Germany, can be dangerous and lead to absolutisation of power.
Joe clarifies that Brexit was not about nationalism, but rather a potential return to freedoms enjoyed by Britain, predating the world wars.
