US pro-life group wins case against Obama

Printer-friendly version

A US federal judge has ruled that March for Life, a pro-life organisation, is exempt from the insurance conditions of President Obama's health care law, which requires employers to pay for birth control and abortion-inducing drugs.

There are exemptions for religious groups, but the judge's decision is the first time an exemption has been made for moral reasons. This judgment allows March for Life to operate consistently in line with its purpose, which is to end abortion.
