Green MP reintroduces Sex Ed bill

In an echo of similar proposals last year, Green MP Caroline Lucas has tabled a bill calling for PSHE, including Sex and Relationships Education (SRE), to become a compulsory subject for all state-funded schools.

But the dangers of the approach were highlighted by Family Education Trust's Norman Wells: "There is no question that the more that schools take responsibility to themselves for these areas, the less that parents will see them as their responsibility."
