Education Secretary Nicky Morgan has restated her support for a requirement on schools to 'actively promote British values'.
The duty was introduced last year, allegedly in response to the Birmingham 'Trojan Horse' affair but since then a number of Christian schools have come under fire from inspectors as a result of the guidelines. "I'm afraid I have no sympathy for those who say that British values need not apply to them," Mrs Morgan said.
