Britain's largest teaching union has said that schools should be required to portray same-sex relationships positively.
A motion passed at the National Union of Teachers' conference also called for schools to promote 'LGBT History Month' and to develop a curriculum that is "inclusive of LGBT issues." General Secretary Christine Blower urged all political parties to back the plan. Andrea Williams commented, "We must make this an election issue and explicitly challenge candidates to reject these destructive proposals."
