Christian disability activist questions Belgian child euthanasia policy

Printer-friendly version

A Christian broadcaster who actively campaigns on disability issues has challenged Belgian lawmakers to explain their decision to extend euthanasia to children, while denying minors access to alcohol, tobacco and pornography.

Joni Eareckson Tada, who is quadriplegic, says, “How can it be right that they will allow children access to three grams of phenobarbitone to end their lives.”

Speaking during the National Religious Broadcasters Convention in Nashville, Tennessee, she told Christian Concern why she was strongly opposed to new legislation.
