A British psychiatrist who was struck off the UK's Medical Register nine years ago, has admitted helping seven people end their lives in the last two years - despite only one of them having a terminal illness.
73-year-old Dr Colin Brewer provided the medical reports required by assisted suicide facilities, including Dignitas in Switzerland. The revelations come as the House of Lords continues to debate Lord Falconer's assisted suicide bill and highlight the reality of protections being bypassed.
