'Gay cure' ban to be discussed in Parliament

Printer-friendly version

A Conservative MP has secured a Westminster Hall debate on Tuesday (3 Nov) to debate "gay conversion therapies and the NHS". Mike Freer says that, in light of Nicky Morgan's comments last week that so-called 'gay cures' have "no place" in Britain, he will use the debate to press the government for a ban.

Andrea Williams said: "Talking about 'gay cures' is emotive and misleading if we're simply talking about those who want counselling for unwanted same-sex attraction."
