A Scottish MP has called on Parliament to ensure better protection for conscience.
Responding to the Supreme Court's decision in the case of two catholic midwives who object to abortion, Labour MP Tom Clarke said, “I cannot accept that even given recent attempts to introduce secularism where it was never meant to be that we are seeking to impose upon individuals an instruction to carry out actions that are in conflict terribly with their conscience and their long held convictions."
