The Government has announced a series of proposals to ban radical Islamist groups and to prevent the spread of Islamic hate preaching in anew report by the UK's Extremism Taskforce published this week.
The taskforce was set up by the Prime Minister following the murder of soldier Lee Rigby earlier this year.
Commenting on the report, Home Secretary Theresa May said: "During the last five months, the taskforce has considered a range of measures to confront extremism in all its forms, including in communities, schools, prisons, faith institutions or universities.
"We have today published a document that sets out the conclusions of our discussions and the practical steps that we have agreed to address the gaps in our response to extremism."
