Bishop Michael Nazir-Ali writes in The Telegraph that the international community must face up to the evil of what he calls "the Iraq genocide".
He warns that "a beautiful mosaic of ancient religions, cultures and languages in the Middle East is being systematically destroyed" and is disappointed that the West has "watched mutely".
Coinciding with Bishop Michael’s warning was news of the latest atrocity committed by the jihadist group, the Islamic State (IS) of Iraq – the burial alive of women and children from the Yazidi community who, like thousands of Christians are being killed and persecuted because they will not convert to Islam.
