Former Muslims explain why they left Islam

Printer-friendly version

'Ex-Muslims' have been using the #ExMuslimBecause tag on Twitter to explain why they left Islam. The social media initiative was created by the Council of Ex-Muslims to campaign for people's freedom to leave Islam without fear or intimidation.

Even in Britain, those leaving Islam can face ostracism, threats and even violence. Christian Concern's Safe Haven exists to provide advice and practical support for those who face challenges in leaving Islam.
