Make your vote count in the European Election and avoid the BNP

Printer-friendly version CCFON urges you to vote in the forthcoming European elections, which will have a critical impact on the freedom to practise religion here in the UK.

CCFON urges you to vote in the forthcoming European elections, which will have a critical impact on the freedom to practise religion here in the UK. Pray for Godly rulers to be elected across Europe who will have a positive impact on politics and understand the importance of the unique value of the biblical heritage of many of the Member States.

It is particularly important to vote, so as to avoid letting in the British National Party, which has a long history of racism. The object of the BNP, taken from their website, is to secure a future “for the indigenous peoples of these islands”.  By making this their object the BNP define their constituency by reference to race and exclude all those that are not of a European origin.

We do not believe this is consistent with biblical Christianity. To put forward an ethos that seeks to protect one section of British citizens to the detriment of another on the basis solely of their ethnic origin is the antithesis of the Christian duty to love our neighbour as ourselves.

The main problem with our society has been the wholesale desertion of our biblical heritage.  The answer is the Gospel of Jesus Christ and not the exclusion of any particular section of society based on their ethnic origin.  It has in fact been indigenously British people who have in many ways caused our decline by using multiculturalism as an excuse to denigrate our Christian heritage and introduce secularism in its place with its vacuum of moral values.

CCFON's opponents like to paint us as extremists and try to associate us with groups like the BNP. We should vote for genuinely Christian, mainstream alternatives which make it clear that such racism has no place in a Christian country such as ours.

We recommend you to consider especially the Christian Party and Christian People's Alliance who have candidates for election across the United Kingdom. Find out about them by visiting their website.
