Golf champion takes biblical encouragement

The surprise winner of this year's British Open has spoken of his Christian faith and the encouragement that he took from the Bible during the tournament.

Zach Johnson told reporters that he had been reading Bible verses throughout the competition: “I was reading bits of Scripture to myself... I’ve been reading them all week. I thank God for the talent he has given me and I take it seriously." He also spoke of God after his previous Golf Major victory in 2007.
