Courageous Christian campaigner targeted

Printer-friendly version

A petition has been set up in support of high profile Christian campaigner Alan Craig, former leader of the Christian People's Alliance.

Alan is a prominent voice in public life, advocating on behalf of the Bible’s teaching on marriage and sexuality.

He successfully led the campaign against the east London 'mega mosque', and he is working closely with Baroness Cox on her bill in Parliament against sharia law and its implementation in the UK.

He also serves the persecuted church, particularly in Nigeria.

UKIP recently appointed Alan as its candidate for the Greater London Authority 'super constituency' of South West London. Richard Hendon, his contender for the candidacy, later resigned in protest, citing Craig's traditional Christian views.

A Change.org petition was then set up by LGBT members of UKIP to remove Craig from the candidacy. A counter-petition has been set up. Please sign the petition, urging that he not be de-selected.
