A radio debate on the roles of religion and politics, prompted by David Cameron’s comments on Britain as a 'Christian country', was broadcast by Voice of Russia, in which Andrew Marsh of Christian Concern (pictured) said it was notable that the Muslim, Sikh and Jewish communities had not complained about the Prime Minister’s remarks.
He said the strong denunciation of the claim that Britain was a Christian county had come from a “small group of atheists”, organised by the British Humanist Association, who had taken exception to the challenge to their “radical agenda to de-Christianise our society”.
Andrew was one of four speakers invited to debate the wider issue of the values the Christian framework brings to life in Britain.
