Commissioners compromise on marriage

Printer-friendly version

Church Commissioner Caroline Spelman MP responded to a question in Parliament yesterday on clergy in same-sex 'marriages' and civil partnerships in the Church of England.

She said the "Anglican Communion extends over many different cultures and many continents, and not all cultures and societies move at the same pace". She added that July's Synod will "move forward" with the "shared conversation about sexuality - the nature of human sexuality."
