Education Secretary changes mind on same-sex 'marriage'

Education Secretary, Nicky Morgan, has said that she would "probably not" vote against same-sex 'marriage' if the vote were today.

The Conservative MP who was, until recently a trustee of the Conservative Christian Fellowship, attracted criticism from some quarters earlier this year when she was named as Education Secretary and Equalities Minister, because she had voted against the controversial same-sex 'marriage' legislation.


However, in an interview with Pink News, she indicated that if the vote took place today, she would "probably not" oppose it.

She also revealed that amongst those constituents who contacted her, they were 10 - 1 against the redefinition of marriage.

Mrs Morgan was amongst those who spoke at this year's Pink News Awards, hosted by the Speaker of the House of Commons, John Bercow. William Hague, Ed Milliband and Ed Balls also spoke, whilst the Bishop of Buckingham said grace at the gala dinner.
