The US Supreme Court has heard arguments on whether same-sex ‘marriage’ should be legalised nationally.
A number of states already allow same-sex ‘marriage’. The Court must decide if homosexual couples have a constitutional ‘right’ to marry and if states can be forced to recognise 'marriages' performed in other states. The Chief Justice told one lawyer: “You’re not seeking to join the institution - you’re seeking to change what the institution is.”
