“Destructive implications” of homosexuality are "trampling orthodoxy to pieces", says Christian author

A civilization sea-change in which Western culture “dramatically changed in an anti-Christian direction” has been explored in an article by Dr Peter Jones, Executive Director of truthXchange (find out more about truthXchange here >).

Dr Jones, author, Presbyterian Minister and former Professor of New Testament at Westminster Seminary in California, writes in response to US writer, Rod Dreher’s work entitled: "Sex After Christianity: Gay marriage is not just a social revolution but a cosmological one."

He argues that the heart of Dreher’s “extremely useful article” is not that “Christians have gone backwards – it is that popular culture has abandoned its roots, to move into a world of once and future pagan worship and practice”.

He emphasises that in the debate about cultural change, “the elephant in the room, trampling orthodoxy to pieces, is homosexuality - its destructive implications for the Christian faith are breathtaking.”
