Parents celebrate 'transgender' of 6 year-old

A couple in the US have made a video - now viewed by over 5million people - which celebrates their 6-year-old child’s choice to embrace a male identity, despite being born female.
 
Jeff and Hillary Whittington conceived in 2007 and were told they were to have a baby girl. They named the baby Ryland.
 
The video tells how “as soon as Ryland could speak, she would scream ‘I am a boy!’” and explains how Ryland’s parents now celebrate the change.
 
The video was shown recently at the Harvey Milk Diversity Breakfast at the White House, where the family received the Inspiration Award.

Andrea Williams commented, "This video is highly emotive, desperately sad.and highlights the confusion in which the next generation is being raised. God has created us male and female. Compassionate parenting compels us to help children understand the beautiful and liberating truth of who they really are, made in the image of God."
