CCFON (in association with the Christian Legal Centre) has today responded to a Home Office consultation on proposals to reform laws on murder. At CCFON we are concerned to uphold the Bible's strict prohibition on the taking of life to reflect the fact that man is born in God's image.
The Consultation seeks views on the partial defence of provocation, mercy killings and infanticide. It is vital that our laws in the UK are maintained to ensure that the most vulnerable are fully protected and the gravity of taking another’s life is fully upheld and recognised within the law.
