The number of children seeking medical treatment for 'gender confusion' has risen five-fold in five years, according to an NHS clinic.

The Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust is the only clinic in the UK that provides such treatment. It says referrals have risen from 139 in 2010 to 697 in 2014. One doctor at the clinic has previously said that children as young as nine should be given puberty-blocking drugs. This week. Andrew Marsh discussed the issue on Sky News and Premier radio.
