Urgent: Ask your MP to oppose abortion liberalisation today

Printer-friendly version

A pro-abortion MP has secured an emergency debate at 12.30pm in the House of Commons today, at which she is expected to push for liberalisation of abortion in Northern Ireland, and across the rest of the UK.

Stella Creasy MP only secured the debate yesterday (4th June) but already has support from several MPs from different parties. She is expected to call for a vote, if she feels that there is support for her proposals.

Although any vote would not be binding on the government, support for radical abortion liberalisation would put further pressure on the government to change abortion law, especially in Northern Ireland.

Please contact your MP urgently, asking them to attend the debate, speak and vote against any liberalisation of abortion. You can email, phone or contact them on Twitter.

Contact details for your MP are available on Parliament's website. More information about today's debate and suggestions of what to say can be found on this action page.

Please contact your MP as soon as you can but if you receive this after the debate has taken place, please still contact your MP as today's debate is unlikely to be the end of the matter.

Every human being, however tiny, is made in God's image and is precious in his sight. It is a privilege to be a voice for the voiceless. Please take this simple step today to stand for truth, justice and compassion.

We have a mighty heavenly Father. So please also pray against any further abortion liberalisation in the UK.

Thank you for standing up for God's gift of life.
