Three Christian evangelists are to appear at Bristol Magistrates' Court tomorrow (Thursday 23 February), charged with public order offences simply for preaching the gospel in a busy shopping centre.
The Policing and Crime Bill proposes to raise the penalty for a 'racially or religiously aggravated offence' from seven years to 14 years. The bill was debated in the House of Lords this week.
