The ruling could effectively bar Christians from holding positions in public office if they express a Christian view of marriage and family. The Department for Digital, Cultural, Media and Sport and the Home Office have launched a public consultation on the issue of online harms. The Online Harms White Paper sets out a comprehensive plan for what the government deems to be a “world leading package on online safety measures.” The deadline for submitting a consultation response is 1 July 2019.
