Dr Peter Saunders explains the current law on suicide and how it protects vulnerable people, in a recent article for Conservative Woman. Where campaigners for assisted suicide claim that the law is unclear and needs changing, Dr Saunders shows that it "offers protection for disabled, sick and elderly people from those who have an interest, financial or otherwise in their deaths." He concludes: "The law on assisted suicide is not broken. It is clear, just, merciful and fair."
