Secularists are opposing a Bill that would allow prayers to be said in local council meetings.
The Bill would allow councils to include prayers in their meetings, reversing a 2012 High Court ruling that councils should not formally hold prayers within their meetings. Andrea Williams said, "The tradition of prayers in council meetings reminds us that any authority we have comes from God and that it is Jesus Christ who has shaped our freedoms."
