Journalist Melanie Phillips (pictured) this week warned that a "dangerous mess" is "looming" because David Cameron refuses to acknowledge that "Islamist extremism is rooted in orthodox Islamic doctrine."
The author and columnist was writing in response to Education Secretary Nicky Morgan's suggestion that teachers should consider whether children's attitudes to homosexuality could be linked to extremism. "The real core British values are those of the Bible," she affirmed.
