Bishop Michael Nazir-Ali has responded to the House of Bishops' new 'pastoral guidance' which allows churches to offer special prayers to newly 'married' same-sex couples.
He points to the Bishops’ own statement of 2003 that the consensus of biblical scholarship upholds the Church’s traditional teaching on marriage, and comments that those who continue to challenge the Church's teaching "will not take no for an answer”.
