In a move which it describes as "innovative within the higher education sector", the University of Birmingham has announced plans to ensure that "its curriculum is inclusive towards those with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or queer (LGBTQ) identities".
In 2005, the Christian Union at Birmingham University was disaffiliated from the Student Union because of its Statement of Belief. Read more in the archives here.
