In December 2015, Christian street preacher Michael Jones was charged with two counts of religiously aggravated offense for comments he made whilst open-air preaching in Beverley, near Hull. Michael denied both counts.
In January 2016 the Crown Prosecution Service dropped all charges against Michael citing a lack of evidence to provide a realistic prospect of conviction.
