Mike Davidson discusses his experience of change therapy on LBC

Printer-friendly version

The government has said it has "no plans" to ban counselling for unwanted same-sex attraction. The therapy, lumped together with other 'treatments' and pejoratively labelled 'conversion' or 'cure' therapy, was attacked during a parliamentary debate this week.

But a government minister said that a ban would be "complex", as it would stop people voluntarily seeking the therapy. Mike Davidson of the Core Issues Trust said it is "wrong" to call the practice 'cure therapy'.
