Abortion

Since the introduction of the Abortion Act 1967, there have been over 7 million abortions in the UK. This is a tragedy. As well as the loss of life it has led to a general disregard for the sanctity of life in society. In addition, there is accumulating evidence of the serious consequences of abortion on mothers including potential damage to their physical and mental health. At Christian Concern we resist abortion and aim to inform women of its dangers. We believe that every unborn child should have their right to life protected.

    27 April 2018, marks 50 years since the implementation of the Abortion Act (1967). In that time more than 9 million babies have lost their lives through abortion in the United Kingdom. It truly is a national tragedy, yet sadly one to which many continue to turn blind eye. In this reflection, Regan King looks at the abc's of abortion over the past 50 years and dedicates this to the memory of the 9 million and more babies who have been aborted since 1967.

Is this really about safety and protecting mothers? If that is what is intended, it certainly will not be the consequence. Regan King comments.
