Edinburgh University student union officials will hand out pronoun badges to freshers so that they know what pronouns to use when referring to each other. The Students’ Association has published a guide to sharing pronouns which explains that assuming what pronouns to use based on appearance “can be frustrating and harmful.” Tim Dieppe investigates and challenges Christians to be committed to speaking the truth about who people are.

A study on sexual orientation change efforts (SOCE) shows that previous theories that it may be harmful could be wrong as new evidence suggests it might improve patients’ mental health. This could be hugely significant for the government as the Home Office considers the possibility of banning what has been disparagingly labelled as ‘conversion therapy’.

This past Wednesday Vue Cinemas paid an undisclosed fee for breach of contract to Core Issues Trust for its last-minute cancellation of the ex-gay documentary film Voices of the Silenced. However Vue stubbornly defended its original statement that showing the film would go against its 'values'. Carys Moseley explores Vue Cinemas' muddled values.
