Family

Marriage and the family form the bedrock of society, yet have suffered greatly as a result of the UK choosing secular humanism over the Christian faith. There has been a great increase in family breakdown, and the concept of marriage itself as a covenant between a man and a woman for life has been under sustained assault. At Christian Concern we campaign for legislation that supports traditional marriage and the family, for the benefit of the whole of society.

    The government’s Divorce, Dissolution and Separation Bill was debated in the House of Commons on Tuesday and passed its second reading. This means that it now progresses to the Committee stage where amendments can be proposed, and where each line of the Bill is scrutinised. The Bill will enable one partner to impose divorce on the other for no reason at all.
