The Scottish Parliament's Education Committee has written to the Scottish government seeking clarification on teaching about creation in Scottish schools.
The move follows concerns raised by the Scottish Secular Society. It has also been revealed that in a letter to a fellow minister, Alasdair Allan, Scotland's Minister for Learning, Science and Scotland's Languages, wrote that "creationism should not be taught within science lessons."
