A Court of Session judge has rejected a challenge to the Scottish government's controversial 'named person' scheme.
Under the programme, every child in Scotland will be assigned a state employee responsible for monitoring the child's welfare who will have access to confidential information including medical records. Campaigners highlighted how the scheme will undermine the role of parents. The 'No 2 NP' coalition which sought a judicial review is considering an appeal.
