Mike Overd, together with another street preacher, Michael Stockwell, has been convicted of a 'religiously aggravated' public order offence, following their arrest in July 2016. He and his friends had been preaching in a Bristol shopping area and responding to questions, objections and abuse.

Family Case Bethany ImageA Christian family fear, that unless they allow their 14-year-old daughter 'Bethany' to change her name to 'Gary', (names changed for legal reasons in order to protect the anonymity of the child) that she might be taken into foster care.

Nikki and Merv Kenward are challenging the recent decision of the Director of Public Prosecutions to change the policy on the prosecution of medical staff who assist others in committing suicide.

The Suicide Act 1961 makes it a criminal offence to assist or encourage the suicide, or attempted suicide, of another person. The Director of Public Prosecutions(DPP) has discretion on whether to prosecute according to the published policy.

Christian family adoption block

A Christian couple were told they could not adopt their two foster children, because of their "concerning" views that the children needed a mother and father.

With help from the Christian Legal Centre, a council has told the couple it will now reconsider their application.

Vicky Allen

Vicky Allen is a teaching assistant who was disciplined for answering a student’s question on same-sex relationships.

With help from the Christian Legal Centre, the school has now apologised to Vicky for the upset caused by the disciplinary process. 

Barry Trayhorn is an ordained Pentecostal minister who was forced to resign from his post as a gardener at HMP Littlehey, after a complaint was made about Bible verses he quoted at a prison chapel service where he volunteered.

Barry comments: "I am being punished simply for daring to say what the Bible says."
