In this short video, Wilberforce Director Dr Joe Boot explains and critiques a heresy that has plagued the Church throughout her history: dualism.
This unbiblical view, based in ancient Greek thought, elevates "the realm...of spirit, mind and idea" and devalues the material world, including "the body...[and] the world of work." Joe warns that this artificial division of reality still deceives some Christians, leading to "a radical pietism or separation from the things of the world".
