Family and Sexual Ethics

The family is the most foundational building block for society. The loving union of one man and one woman is the normal God-given context for children to be born and raised. This pattern for married life has been under attack for all of human history. Divorce, homosexuality and transsexualism are three of the most significant challenges to God’s pattern for family in today’s society.

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” Genesis 1:27

    Roger Kiska, of the Christian Legal Centre, has contributed an article to the most recent 'Affinity Bulletin: News and Reports from the Social Issues Team'. In it, he gives parents a guide to how they might best love their children through a gender identity crisis, arguing that, “real love requires more of us than to merely affirm a child in their gender confusion”.

    The International Federation for Therapeutic Counselling Choice (IFTCC) held a three day event over the weekend 19-21 October, in Hungary. Event speakers included Dr Quentin Van Meter (a paediatric endocrinologist who trained with the sexologist, John Money), Dr Carolyn Pela (former President of the US Alliance for Therapeutic Choice and Scientific Integrity), and Timothy Long (clinical director of Kainos Christian Therapy in Beverly Hills).
