The International Federation for Therapeutic Counselling Choice (IFTCC) held a three day event over the weekend 19-21 October, in Hungary. Event speakers included Dr Quentin Van Meter (a paediatric endocrinologist who trained with the sexologist, John Money), Dr Carolyn Pela (former President of the US Alliance for Therapeutic Choice and Scientific Integrity), and Timothy Long (clinical director of Kainos Christian Therapy in Beverly Hills).

As the Church goes, so goes the culture. Sweeping changes to our nation’s moral and social landscape have coincided with a decline in the Church’s witness. Our culture is confused and there’s a huge need for clear and compassionate Christian witness to provide hope and direction. We’re dedicated to helping the Church recover her voice and speak with confidence on the issues of the day.
The government is facing mounting pressure to extend or even scrap the current consultation on the Gender Recognition Act, which sets out its aims to make changing gender easier. The consultation closes at 11pm on Friday 19th October.

Tim Dieppe, head of public policy at Christian Concern, discusses the government’s response to Baroness Cox’s question to the House of Lords about helping victims of sex-grooming, such as in the case of ‘Sarah’, who is currently being supported by the Christian Legal Centre. He argues that the government is in denial about the Islamic connection to sex-grooming gangs and says it has a long way to go before it really addresses the issue.
At Christian Concern, we’re convinced that the best possible way to live is by following Jesus in every area of our lives. And it’s just as true for societies. The UK has a long and deep Christian heritage; in its laws, its traditions and its institutions. It’s those Christian foundations that have helped the UK flourish – albeit imperfectly – for centuries.
