Fears have been growing that an early-pregnancy blood test used to detect genetic conditions – set to be used by the NHS from next month – could lead to a rise in abortions based on gender. The Labour Party has called for a ban on using this test to find out the sex of the child, but still supports its use to find potential genetic conditions.
The very definition of ‘family’ is once more at risk as the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) has taken legal action against the NHS for not giving transgender teenagers the chance to have children later in life.
The media has recently been full of reports on the consequences of people ‘self-identifying’ as the opposite sex (such as in the separate cases of Shaun Pudwell and Philip Bunce), but when 12 Girl Guides leaders signed a letter warning of the dangers of a Girlguiding transgender policy, they were penalised for being ‘intolerant’ and two Guides leaders were expelled.

Please pray for protection for a precious young woman the Christian Legal Centre is supporting, named Sarah. She has been rescued from a horrendous 12-year ordeal at the hands of an Islamic grooming gang, and desperately needs your prayers.
In a victory for freedom of speech, the Home Secretary, Sajid Javid, has rejected calls for ‘buffer zones’ to be introduced outside abortion clinics, saying that they “would not be a proportionate response” to pro-life activities. This ironically comes as a pro-life charity has been banned from having a stall at freshers’ fairs in three different universities.
