Libby Powell speaks to Premier Radio about the case of Sarah Kuteh.
Sarah Kuteh, who has 15 years' nursing experience, was fired by the NHS for talking to patients about her faith and occasionally offering prayer, while helping them to prepare for surgery.
However, following just one official complaint and a few verbal complaints which were noted down by nurses, Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust began disciplinary proceedings which led to her dismissal. The Trust also referred her to the Nursing and Midwifery Council for disqualification proceedings.
Speaking to Premier Radio Libby explains that compassion came out of Christianity and that Sarah's dismissal was an overreaction from the NHS Trust.
